‘Flowers of Woods and Meadows’ Talk – Wednesday February 27st
A talk by Dr Richard Jefferson on flowers, following a very short AGM. St John’s Ambulance Hall, St Peter’s Road, Bourne, 7.30pm. Open to public. Tea and coffee provided.
A short trail around part of the wood with a quiz about our prehistoric friends. Other children’s activities. Drinks. Signposted from the main car park. Open to the public. 2pm to 4pm. Small charge for activities, but every entrant receives a prize.

Spring Bird Walk – Wednesday April 30th
Led by Vaughan Roberts, a chance to listen for the newly arrived migrant as well as our native birds. If we are really lucky we may hear a nightingale! Starts 7.00pm. Bourne Wood main car park. Open to the public. Donation £1 appreciated.

Charity event to raise money and awareness for cancer
Bat and Moth Night – Saturday June 7th
Mr & Mrs Faulkner from the Lincolnshire Bat Group will lead us on a walk in the search of bats using their bat detectors. Meanwhile Dr David Sheppard will have set up his moth trap so hopefully we can see what the bats have been feeding on! Open to the public. Starts 9.30pm from Forest Office, Beech Avenue, Bourne. Donation of £1 appreciated.

Transect Butterfly Walk - Saturday 12th July
A walk led by Dr David Sheppard, teaching us how to perform a transect walk, this time counting butterflies but once you know how, you can use it for flowers or insects on your daily walk,. A good introduction to wildlife recording. Meet 2pm, main car park. Open to public. Donation of £1 appreciated.
Den Building – August 3rd
Come and have fun building your own den. Guidance will be available. This is restricted to by ticket only as numbers will be limited. Please phone to book and for more details – 07760468052.
Social Barbeque – Saturday 6th September
A barbeque held in the wood, open only to Friends and their families. Please phone to reserve your place 07760468052. You will probably need to bring your own food. Time to be confirmed but will probably be around 4pm.
Halloween Party – Sunday October 26th
A scary trail through the wood with storytelling, witches coven and games. Refreshments available. Start 4pm. Open to public.
Weaving the Willow Sculpture - Saturday morning. Late November.
Date to be arranged. A relaxing way to spend a couple of hours. Meet Forest Office, Beech Ave. 10am.
Santa in the Wood - Sunday December 7th
Open to the public. A chance for children to meet Santa in the wood. Starts 11am to 3pm. £1.50 per child to see Santa. Bourne Wood Car Park. Refreshments Available. Craft stalls, activities etc.
